Description
We close the season of snowshoes with a great classic: the lunch at "RIFUGIO SEBASTIANI".
The aim of the last snowshoeing of the season will be to climb to the refuge in time for lunch time.

Celebrating the end of season with friends in a spectacular setting will remind you of the snow for the rest of the year!
The Sebastiani refuge it is a welcoming refuge located at Colletto di Pezza at 2102 meters, within the Velino park.
Easily accessible, it is an experience for everyone. The refuge is open from June to September, but throughout the year it is open by appointment, and with the snow it is possible to reach it with a little more time for a unforgettable snowshoeing.

Program
Meeting point: Refuge Alantino at Campo Felice at 9:00
Presentation of the guide and the itinerary. You reach the disused bauxite mine and continue in a beautiful beech forest, and then enter a large valley that quickly leads to the Sebastiani refuge.
Altimetry: Campo Felice (1530m) - Bauxite mine (1642m) - Sebastiani Refuge (2102m)
Return: starting point at 15:00
Gap: +/-570 m. - Walking hours: 3h30'-4h - Difficulty: easy

Technical requirements

Good trainig for mountain walking is required

  • Backpack
  • Trekking shoes
  • Gaiters
  • Telescopic poles

Clothing:

  • Heavy fleece
  • Gore-Tex anorak
  • Mountain pants
  • Wool or pile hat
  • Gloves
  • Mountain socks

Inside the backpack [30/40 lt maximum]:

  • One fiber T-shirt
  • A pair of mountain socks
  • Waterproof overpants (ex: Gore-tex, pac lite, conduit, k-way)
  • Waterproof shell
  • Sunglasses and protective cream
  • Camera
  • 1 lt bottle or Thermos
  • Drinks and saline supplements
  • Energy bars
  • Packed lunch

  • Guide's fee
  • Snowshoes hire.

NOT Included
Guide's expenses and anything not specified in the issue "Included".
In case of modification of the itinerary due to causes external to the organization (adverse weather conditions, technical level of the participants, etc.) the unforeseen expenses will be debited to the participants.
