In the magnificent granite of Bavella
Multipitch routes in Corsica
Description
Corsica of long routes is a world unto itself, probably more fascinating than that of the sport climbing cliffs.
Indeed, from many years the local climbers have understood the potentiality of the island in this field, and so we will face with an endless choice of routes.
If (unlike neighboring Sardinia) the routes on rock can be counted on the fingers of one hand, granite instead abounds and an area like that of Bavella can be considered one of the European paradises of granite climbing.

The fact that it is little known does not mean that it is less beautiful and interesting than Valle dell'Orco or Val di Mello.

Program
4 or 7 days climbing tour of Corsica's main cliffs through the multi- or single-pitch routes in Bavella, Tavignano e Restonica.
It is expected to climb sports and / or adventure routes (spit and quick protections) during which the following topics will be addressed:

  • materials suitable for multipitch routes, rope safety, route identification
  • insurance for the first and second, types of progression
  • use of fast protections, staging stops, rope maneuvers.
The trip is aimed at climbers both neophytes and already "practicing" these environments. Beginners will be accompanied and trained in order to be able to face the itineraries in complete safety. The most experienced will improve their progression and safety from "first" ropes. Difficulties will be chosen together with the participants.

Technical requirements Climbing and basic rope maneuvers skills, and good physical fitness are required.

The program can be modified or interrupted by the mountain guide due to the insufficient technical level of the participants or for meteorological reasons.
