A ring route of great satisfaction. Walk on the easy ridge that connects the saddle of Fonte Fredda to Mount S. Vito. One of the most panoramic of the whole Gran Sasso group. Suspended as it is between the Adriatic and the plain di Campo Imperatore, the view extends from the Gargano to the Sibillini, the Velino, the Marsican mountains.
Departure from the square of Fonte Vetica (1632m), thorough the Vado di Siella up to the summit of Monte San Vito (1892m).

• Meeting point: Castel del Monte at 9.00.
  Short tranfer by car to the Campo Imperatore upland.
  Excursion through Campo Imperatore – snowfield of Rionne
