The mountains of the Duchessa are the natural continuation of the Velino Group. Among the less frequented and less known places in Abruzzo, they mark the border between Lazio and Abruzzo itself. A first Apennine ridge that in this region is divided into three branches. They are peaks of lower height but not of less beauty!

Program

Meeting point at exit A24 Tornimparte where we will leave a car.
From the "Chiesuola di Lucoli" (Campo Felice) to Monte San Rocco, Malepasso, Monte Cava and Tornimparte.
Total gap: +400/-800 m - Hours of walking: 5h
Difficulty: easy.

Technical requirements
Good trainig for mountain walking is required.
The program can be modified or interrupted by the guide due to the insufficient technical level of the participants or for meteorological reasons.

Equipment

• Backpack
• Trekking shoes
• Telescopic poles

Clothing:

• Heavy fleece
• Gore-Tex anorak
• Mountain pants
• Wool or pile hat
• Gloves
• Mountain socks

Inside the backpack [30/40 lt maximum]:

• One fiber T-shirt
• A pair of mountain socks
• Waterproof overpants (ex: Gore-tex, pac lite, conduit, k-way)
• Waterproof shell
• Sunglasses and protective cream
• Camera
• 1 lt bottle or Thermos
• Drinks and saline supplements
• Energy bars
• Packed lunch

In case of modification of the itinerary due to causes external to the organization (adverse weather conditions, technical level of the participants, etc.) the unforeseen expenses will be debited to the participants.
