Climbing in the Kingdom of Bedouins
Wadi Rum – Jordan
Description
In the heart of the Middle East, Jordan is a country placed in the middle of two worlds, that of sedentary peoples and that of nomadic peoples. A land of passage between Africa and Asia, between the West and the East, a land full of ancient testimonies, this country offers visitors, as well as the great desert spaces of astonishing beauty, also excellent sites of historical interest, first of all Petra. Necessary passage of our climbing trip, the pink city of the desert is the marvelous expression of the double beauty of the natural environment modified by man, chiselled by the Nabatei people. It will be an unforgettable excursion that will allow us to discover what remains of this lost civilization.

The road will continue towards the Rum desert, gateway to the great desert of Arabia. It will be the base camp for the rest of the trip. Where we will not renounce to the ascent of Jabel Rum, the highest peak of the massif. The company of Bedouins, the true kings of the desert, will allow us to discover fantastic hidden corners and climb on magnificent pinnacles carved by the wind, where the sunset gives spectacular lights and a unique experience in the world..

One of the rest days will give us a view at Aquaba that, overlooking the Red Sea, offers one of the richest and most fascinating backdrops for scuba divers. On the way back, a must stop at the Dead Sea to experience the feeling of swimming / floating in the sea saltier in the world.

It should be noted that despite the Middle East being one of the most troubled regions in the world, Jordan is a reference point because of its political stability.
