youtube video with 4x3 aspect ratio
Description

The easiest way to approach to this sport in safety by learning the basics of driving a kite until you feel the thrill of snowkiting.
In order to incentivize and facilitate a rapprochement with this sport, we decided to invest our time in supporting this initiative, which includes a daily snowkite start-up session, carried out by professional instructors.

Locations
Campo Imperatore (100 km from Rome - 30 km from L'Aquila) is ideally suited to this initiative:

  • altitude 1600 mt slm
  • usable with almost all winds
  • no trees or isolated obstacles
  • optimal spot for snowkite (winter season) and Buggy/MTB (spring/summer)
Il corso è giornaliero e come Objective prevede anche una prima partenza. If you understand immediately that this sport is passionate and you want to deepen your experience, you can book a basic course.

The practical session may vary according to weather conditions.

Objective del Course
The lesson includes an hour of theory and a guaranteed minimum of three hours of practice. During this time you will learn the following basic techniques:

  • notions of the wind and the principles of flight of a kite
  • description of the equipment and how it works
  • understanding and use of safety releases
  • preparation of kite before take-off
  • take-off and landing in safety
  • First feeling of traction with the board or the skis (it is required to know how to drive skiing or snowboarding)

Supply conditions
The dates will be agreed during the signing of the initiative on our calendar (http://www.gosnowkite.com/freeride-campoimperatore/scuola-snowkite-school/calendario-availability) depending on availability and then confirmed 1 or 2 days before, depending on the weather conditions present and forecasted on the spot. In case of unfavorable conditions the session will be postponed.
